Planning - double page spread mock up

This is my double page spread mock up. I chose I different style to present my article and broke it down into small sections of writing, talking about the nuritional value of each food or supplement. I also wrote an intro page for my double page as not all charateristics of an article are demonstrated here. I took all the photos shown using a light box. I then used remove.bg to remove the background of all the images to create a cleaner look. I ensured that all of the photos were put to similar sizes to stop the page from looking unbalanced. I then used black lines to seperate the different pieces of text which I think made the page look more professional, clear and spacious. I included a warning section to my double page as I am aware that protein supplements can cause unpleasant symptoms if taken unnecessarily or of incorrect quantity. In order to protect my readers as the majority of my target audience will mostly likely have a lack of experience or knowledge about gym and fitness, I feel it is right to include this. For each description, I kept the style of writing simple and direct. I included words such as 'you' to make the reader feel as if they are being directly talked too, enticing them to read more. I also included stats such as prices of products, one to entice the reader to buy the products and two to reduce the need of the reader researching themselves. What I learnt from doing this is that it is important to make sure the page is clear and easy to read and look at for the reader. I found if you made the page too cramped it made the writing look like a large amount which may make my target audience be put off reading all the text as they are teenagers. I found splitting the text into small sections makes it a lot more interesting.
