Planning - Front cover (behind the scenes)
This is the behind the scenes for my magazine front cover page. I wanted to have a white mise en scene so a white screen was needed. After setting up the white screen I found an issue was that there were obvious creases visible on camera. To solve this problem I ironed out the obvious creases, which in return resulted in a much better and professional picture. When it came to lighting, I used two light stands, with one facing the wall which created a shadow effect on the side of the model’s face. When taking the photo I also found an issue was that when the model was stood up I had to be far away from the screen to take the photo, which overall didn’t look as pleasing. However, I found when the model went on their knees I could go closer and it looked a lot better. It also allowed me to focus on the upper body muscles.
