Planning - Masthead font experimentation

Here I am experimenting the different fonts I could use for my front cover masthead. I used the colour of blue I anticipate to use for the final masthead, which helped me decide whether certain fonts would suit the colour. I was instantly driven towards the second font down on the left side. A simplistic, mostly san serif font which signifies simplicity, modernism and an overall clean look. However on the letter 'Rs' we see a flick, which would be classed as a serif font, symbolising professionalism and a sign of experience. I like this contrast and think it will appeal to my target audience. When creating these masthead ideas, I noticed that if I position the word 'rep' underneath the word 'more' in the right position the 're' on both words sit directly on top of eachother. This signifies the idea of doing repetitions of an exercise in the gym with the repetiton of 're'. This works well with the topic of my magazine being about gym and overall fitness.
